Besides the base made with Naturetta Ajvar, the additional ingredients can be tailored to your taste! Feel free to substitute or add additional ingredients, such as: adding Nektar Pickles (diced) for a sour twist or adding your favorite cold cut!

Savory Roll with Naturetta Ajvar
Prep time: 15 minutes Servings: 6 servings
Ingredients
Bark :
5 eggs
5 Tbsp of flour
5 Tbsp of milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp oil
5 Tbsp of ajvar
1 tsp salt
Stuffing:
200 g of feta cheese
3 Tbsp of sour cream or milk cream
100-150 grams of Ham
3 Tbsp of Naturetta Ajvar
Instructions
1 Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, making sure the parchment paper covers the sides. I use an 11 x 17 baking sheet. Set aside.
2 Using a hand or stand mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Then, with the mixer on low speed, add the egg yolks one at a time until everything is mixed.
3 Mix the flour and baking powder together. With the mixer still on low, add the flour and baking powder a little at a time until just combined. Then pour milk and oil. Mix for a few seconds until everything is combined, then turn off the mixer.
4 Using a spatula, fold the Ajvar into the batter and lastly add in the salt. Mix the batter lightly until it is all one consistent color.
5 Pour the batter into the lined pan and spread it in an even layer.
6 Bake the sponge cake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Don’t overbake the sponge, it should be a light brown color.
7 When baked, remove the sponge cake from the oven and carefully place it on a lightly damp kitchen towel (complete with parchment paper) on a flat surface.
8 Allow the sponge cake to cool for 2-3 minutes until just cool enough to handle. Then, slowly begin to roll the sponge cake into a log with the parchment paper still attached. Start rolling on the long end and away from you. Cover the log with the damp kitchen towel and allow to cool to room temperature
Filling
1 Mix the feta cheese and then the sour cream for the filling and set aside.
Assembly
1 When the sponge cake has cooled, carefully unwrap it and remove the parchment paper and kitchen towel.
2 Spread the filling mixture on the sponge cake in an even layer. Then put pieces of ham and put ajvar on top Once again, roll the sponge cake into a log, being careful not to squeeze it too much while rolling.
3 Place a piece of aluminum foil on your work surface and carefully transfer the log onto it. Roll the log up in the aluminum foil and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
